Never thought I’d switch to memory foam (stomach and side sleeper)

TLDR; this pillow is very comfortable, not hot like other memory foam, and completely customizable to any type of sleeper, even if you sleep on your stomach like I do. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I have been using the same type of cheap pillow for years; about 2” thick and filled with everything but memory foam.

I’m a side and stomach sleeper so all of these super firm pillows and particularly memory foam pillows will destroy my neck. My pillow was getting old so I thought it might be time to start searching for a replacement.

When I first got the delivery I was confused because it was a cylinder. But the pillow was just compressed and rolled and sealed. It was heavy as I expected because that’s how memory foam is. I opened the packaging and let it ‘re-inflate’ as the directions said. The thing was so thick I thought this isn’t gonna work at all.

I read the information in the package and realized there was an outer pillow case and an inner pillow case. The inner is one of those hypo allergenic cases white a tiny zipper that recessed under the fabric so no poking you in your sleep. The instructions said to remove filing to get the desired feel. So that’s just what I did.

I removed enough filling to get the pillow to a much thinner state that I knew wouldn’t kill me. I then zipped up the inner case and then the plush outer case and gave it a run.

It’s been two weeks now and I have to tell you THIS IS A GREAT PILLOW! I adjusted it after the first night by removing a little more filing and it’s now perfect.

ZERO neck pain no matter whether I’m on my side or stomach

COMFORTABLE as can be and the shredded memory foam conforms to me perfectly with out being hot and heavy like typical memory foam pillows.

I haven’t slept this good with no neck or shoulder pain in years!

The only negatives, and I say negatives very loosely, are that the super plush putter pillow case makes the pillow a little warm. It’s very soft and very well made though. That’s easily fixed by removing it. And the shredded memory foam feels a tiny bit lumpy for the first few seconds you lay on it. BUT being shredded is also what seems to keep this pillow from getting hot like other memory foam products so it’s really a good thing.

In short; this is an amazing pillow and it’s really inexpensive. It doesn’t matter how you sleep you can adjust to perfectly fit you, even if you sleep on your stomach. I’d recommend this pillow to anyone! I’m ordering one for my wife ASAP!

****Update-So I did end up buying another one of these and have had a completely different experience - the second one arrived all rolled up tight like a scroll. Once I undid it from the packaging it never puffed up or got much bigger. It has basically stayed really flat. Also something else that’s weird is it seems to be coming apart inside. The first one has stayed puffy and doesn’t feel like it’s in pieces but this one feels like I’ve had it forever and it’s on its last leg - like the stuffing is coming loose and separating. It is not as good as the first one. I don’t know if this is a fluke or if the company started making these with less filling or what but based on this second purchase I would not recommend this pillow. It’s like night and day experiences. If I didn’t know better I’d think I ordered a completely different pillow. I would like to have a second pillow like the first one I bought but I don’t want to risk getting another one and have it be just like this second one. It’s not like I haven’t given it time - I’ve had this second one for months so it’s not like I didn’t follow the instructions to give it time to expand. If my second pillow had been like my first I would be singing it’s praises from the rooftop but since it was such a dud I can’t recommend this as I don’t see how a purchase of the same pillow could be such an inferior product. The company seems to be experiencing poor quality control****

I used to use whatever pillow my parents bought me growing up. I could sleep anywhere on anything and never had any issues all through college and afterwards. Fast forward 20 years and for the last several years I’ve had neck pain that has gotten so bad I’ve sought medical help as well as massage and chiropractic help. Nothing worked. I bought different memory foam pillows including one that had a notch in it specifically for side sleepers which did pretty good BUT something about this pillow appealed to me so I bought it. My hunch was correct. This pillow is amazing. I don’t wake up in pain anymore and I have the most comfortable deep sleep that I have not experienced in a long time. The pillow is super soft. It literally feels like you are laying on a cloud. You sink into it and feel comforted and sleep comes easy. I feel myself breathing a sigh of relief and happiness every time I lay on it. I did not smell anything when I got it or upon opening it like other reviews mentioned. I have not removed any of the filling either. It’s perfect right out of the packaging. I’m guessing if you like a very firm pillow that this won’t be for you but if that isn’t a concern I would highly recommend it. I can’t believe the price either. We’ve paid much more for inferior pillows that were supposed to be so great but weren’t. I like this so much I’m gonna buy one for my son. My husband is going to try mine and if he likes it we are getting him one too as he also suffers from neck and back pain. I love this pillow and I’m so glad I took a chance and bought it. I’m thinking about getting one for a backup just in case because I do not want to be without this going forward.

I got two of these pillows in queen size for my queen size bed. They go from one side of my bed to the other. I knew they had to be comfy when they were made with chipped memory foam. And to top it off, they have a cover made with bamboo to keep you cool. I slept like a baby first night. You can adjust the pillow by removing some of the memory foam to make it softer. I like mine just the way it is. It gives support but is also soft and comfortable. I am going to loan one to my daughter and my granddaughters to try. I am sure they will love it. Only rose around to 60 to 70mm thick (untouched) when im holding it, its as thin as a paper. Tried tumble dry it also and still the same. Wasted my money on this.
